NFB StopMo Studio

The NFB’s PixStop application for iPad, originally released in December 2011, has been completely redesigned and is back better than ever. And for its relaunch, it’s been given a new name: “StopMo Studio”.

 Whether you’re a budding filmmaker, a creator at heart, or just curious, with StopMo Studio you can engage in an enjoyable creative experience and learn the basics of frame-by-frame animation. It’s simple. In just a few minutes, you can create your own animated film.

 Using the StopMo Studio app, you can make movies at home, with your family and share them with your friends. Shoot a sped-up video of your friend’s hockey game. Make your own Toy Story, bringing your kids’ favourite figurines to life. Put together an animated tribute for a loved one’s birthday or a co-worker’s retirement.
