Despite the miraculous science of neuroplasticity, the human brain stubbornly resists change. Whether it’s breaking small habits or making major transformations, our default is often comfort over reason. The perfect example of this is our practice of monoculture. Even though there are recognized alternatives and a desperate need for biodiversity, we continue to grow one plant per plot. As a result, we’re experiencing a decline in the pollinators required to balance our ecosystems. What if the same was true of our brain? Without flexibility, it remains stagnant and our cognitive ability degrades. Luckily, we can exercise certain brain functions—such as adaptability, memory, creativity, and motor skills—in order to develop its capacity for change. Our survival depends on it. 

 NeuroFlowers is a mobile game that plants the idea that our minds must flourish in order to blossom, just like a garden.
