This is a story about the strength of humanity and compassion... the compassion of a class of Grade 4 children from Vancouver, finding a way to reach out across the sea to connect with the children of Kalmunai in eastern Sri Lanka, children whose lives were torn apart by the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. What the Vancouver kids have to offer is their words. Not money or material things ... just heartfelt words that offer encouragement and inspiration... a verbal hand, held out in love, to children on the other side of our world - total strangers in desperate need. In our often-cynical world, this uplifting story offers even the most jaded world watcher a sense of hope for the future.
