This film describes the strategic significance of air transportation in Canada. Bush pilots first pointed to the possibilities of continental aviation and today this has been developed from a game into a science. Every cog in the Trans-Canada Airlines machine counts, from the man at the weather station to the pilot at the controls. In wartime, these airways have a vital part to play, connecting the far-flung industries of the Dominion and uniting the battle front in Europe with that in the Pacific.
