The citizens of Stereoville literally have to double up in their efforts to deal with the two languages in their community. The speaker of one language is tied to a speaker of the other. They are literally back-to-back. Into this two-stepping society comes an unattached individual who speaks both languages, and is not tied to anyone. His presence is the cause of considerable consternation among the locals. Twice Upon a Time is a satirical look at the issue of bilingualism in Canada.
