This episode of Trading Places takes a couple from the east coast and sends them to the middle of the prairies to become gas jockeys. Dave Whynacht and Skana Gee enjoy the fast pace of their media jobs in Dartmouth. They have 'city' hobbies, too - book club, a whole host of friends, and time spent with Griffin, whose request for an adventure inspired them to participate in Trading Places. In Pinawa, Manitoba, Bev and Ritch are also looking for adventure. They have to be organizational wizards to keep their two gas stations coordinated and humming at all hours of the day. And there's always their hobbies - bow hunting and community potlucks! Take these two families, get them to the airport, and don't tell them where they're going until the last minute. And as usual, Trading Places is going to shake things up! First, there's the excitement of finding out what each of their trades do. A newspaper journalist and editor will have to run two businesses while gas station owners try their hand at the Nova Scotia media and entertainment scene. Now, the twist - on top of her gas pumping duties, Skana has to make 200 perogies for a Pinawa potluck. Dave has to deal with gas station customers who don't pay and minors trying to buy cigarettes and fireworks. In Dartmouth, Ritch gets to play with newspaper copy while Bev tries her hand at entertainment reporting - will their work make the cut?
