Produced by the National Film Board of Canada for the Canadian Department of Northern Affairs and National Resources, National Parks Service.

Point Pelee National Park, southernmost tip of the Canadian mainland in Ontario, provides a happy hunting ground for the ornithologist, the entomologist, the botanist and the photographer. This eleven-kilometer strip of forest-covered land projecting into Lake Erie serves as an important way-station for migrating birds. The film shows many different species of birds found in this protected area, as well as butterflies and other insects, wild flowers and shrubs.
