One's a Heifer revolves around 13-year-old Peter and his attempts to recapture two calves that strayed during a storm. His search brings him in contact with a suspicious-acting farmer who Peter believes is hiding the missing calves in his barn. Like the story, this drama, set in western Canada, is filled with suspense and mystery.
