North of 60

In this film on Canada's last frontier, we become acquainted with the blueprint stage in the orderly development of the vast region which extends northward from the 60th parallel to the roof of the world. The film presents several aspects of life in this land of many contrasts, records the achievements of the Soviet Union and other countries in the development of their Arctic holdings, and describes the setting up of "Operation Franklin," the huge geological survey conducted by the Canadian government.
