An ode to St. John's, Newfoundland, written in fine cinematic language. It is made up of a visiting filmmaker's impressions, arranged within the loose framework of a single day. Places are revisited in the changing light of day and the works of Newfoundland artists evolve on the screen. A subjective rather than an expository piece of work, the film is a flowing, lyrical fusion of image and music in celebration of a city and its people.
