This video describes how a little boy is affected by witnessing his father beating his mother. Seven-year-old Jonathan is having trouble interacting with other children at school. He has a quick temper, a short attention span and he is reluctant to tell anyone what's troubling him. A black-eyed Susan in a bouquet of flowers reminds him of his mother's black eye and his father's violence, so Jonathan refuses to go home. When his mother comes to pick him up, the story comes out and we see Jonathan and his family getting the advice and help they need. The objective of this film is to show these youngsters that there is something they can do to help themselves, and that community agencies are available to help them.
